Intro:
"Hello and welcome to Nottingham College TV with Farron and Vanessa. Here we are today with Nottingham-based author Darren Simpson. How are you today Darren?"
"Before starting to write books for children you released a novel for adults called 'The Dust on the Moth'. Was there any reason for changing to writing novels for teens instead?"
"Do you think you would ever write a novel for adults again?"
"You released your debut children's novel Scavengers in 2019, and it was a Guardian Best Book of the Year. How did that feel for you, especially with it being your debut too?"
"What is your favourite novel of your own which you have written?"
"What other authors have you been inspired by with your work, or just for life in general?"
"If you had to give one piece of advice to those thinking about going into the world of writing, what would it be?"
"You released your new book 'Thirst' only just over 2 weeks ago, how has the response to it been so far?"
"Have you always had a passion for writing since you were young, or did it emerge more as you grew up?"
"You feature folklore in your novels and a lot in your most recent one, was there any particular reason for including it in your stories?"
"Are there any other mythological genres that you would like to explore in further novels apart from folklore?"
Outro:
"Thank you Darren for joining us today, and thank you all for watching Nottingham College TV. Until next time!"
