The Grove:
I have decided to contact Cameron from The Grove due to a couple of reasons. First of all, from the previous project that I completed on this course, I had gotten in contact with him for an interview then, but got a response too late. He did say he was available if I needed him for another project, which was convenient for this. For my next reason, for what I chose for my project, he was the perfect interviewee. I needed someone who had experience within an independent venue, and as the owner and director of one, he would have a lot of knowledge on my subject, making him not just a witness to the issues facing independent venues, but also a bit of an expert too.

Hockley Hustle:
I decided to get in contact with Hockley Hustle due their knowledge of independent/grassroots venues in Nottingham, as they have operated in them for around 20 years. This means that they have an extensive knowledge of how they have changed over the years, and if I can get an interview, hopefully provide insightful information. They are also based in over 50 venues in Nottingham for the festival, venues of all different sizes and ways of running the venues, which may show threats and opportunities that they face.

Christine Katerere of Hockley Hustle:
I didn't end up getting a response from Hockley Hustle, but I had a bit of luck. Someone who had been working with Hockley Hustle since 2017 and was still doing so, had started working at the college.
